Community Blood Drive: March 12, 2020
Why Give Blood?
Community Blood Center must collect almost 600 units of blood daily to meet the needs of area hospital patients. As there is no substitute for blood, we rely on volunteer donors like you to supply the life-saving blood and blood components to hospitals in Kansas and Missouri.
What do I have to do?
Making an appointment is easy! Simply click here and follow the steps below.
Step 1:
Click the link: https://donate.savealifenow.org/donor/schedules/drive_schedule/67981 You will be presented with a list of available blood drives that we sponsor. Select the time most convenient for you.
Step 2:
CBC has a new online Donor Portal. If you have already registered in our former system, you will still need to create a user account for this new system.
If you have not yet created a login in this new system, select the Create One Now option and follow the required fields.

Mondays nights 1st round Girls District Basketball Schedule has been updated due to an unforeseen forfeit by Union Star.
The new game times are:
5:00pm King City v Mound City
6:15pm Osborn v Nodaway-Holt
7:30pm Dekalb v Stewartsville
Basketball Update: Tonight's varsity girl's basketball game has been canceled due to several NEN Players suffering from illness. The game will not be rescheduled. JV Boys will tip-off at 5:30pm with the varsity boys to follow.

2 HOUR LATE START INFORMATION:
With the threat of winter weather moving through today and into this evening we want to prepare our families to the possibility of utilizing a late start tomorrow, Thursday, February 13, 2020. *If at all possible the decision to cancel school or implement a 2-hour late start will be made this evening.
What does a 2-hour delay mean?
A delay that causes school to open two hours later than the normal start time (10:00 a.m.). The school will close at the regular time (3:10 p.m.). The school will not be open for students to enter until (9:30 a.m.). The buses will run regular routes on a two-hour delay.
*Any before-school programs/practices/activities will be canceled.
*Afterschool programs will operate as scheduled.
*Breakfast will not be served.
(Preschool will not be in session on days we utilize a late start.)
