Reminder: Elementary students can pick up their school supplies today Wednesday, May 13 from 12-5pm and Thursday, May 14 from 9am-5pm. We’re looking forward to seeing everybody!

Preschool and Kindergarten Roundup: Our preschool and kindergarten roundup screening date has been rescheduled for Thursday, June 18th. We intend to keep the same screening times as you had previously scheduled. If you have yet to schedule a screening time please do so ASAP by emailing Mr. Stephenson at mstephenson@stewartsville.k12.mo.us or call the office at 816-669-3792. Mr. Boyer and Mrs. Fisher will be reaching out to those who have already scheduled an appointment later this week to confirm the date and time.

Who is ready for the SHS Class of 2020 Graduation? We are excited to announce that we are making plans to host this year's senior class graduation on Friday, May 22, 2020, at 6:30 pm on the football field. As we move forward with our planning, we will act in a responsible way to ensure the safety of the Cardinal community. We will be sharing more information in the days and weeks to come. We are super excited to see you all very soon, and we can't wait to celebrate the graduation of our Class of 2020!

GREAT NEWS Student Meal Service Extension: We received notification today that our application for extending our student meal services has been approved. We will now be able to continue providing meals to our PreK-12 students until the end of June. Students will continue to receive double meals on M, W, F If, over the coming days, you decide that your family would like for us to provide your student/s with these meal choices, send Mr. Stephenson your student's name/grade, physical address for delivery, and a working cell phone number for notification purposes to mstephenson@stewartsville.k12.mo.us. Food Service Delivery Changes starting Monday 4/13/20: Beginning on 4/13 we will begin delivering meals only on M,W,F Students will receive double meals each of these days of the week. This will allow us to provide students with one added days worth of meals and continue to limit the risk of COVID-19 exposure between our fantastic cooks, deliverers, and your families. Breaking News: Earlier this afternoon, Governor Parson announced that schools will remain closed through the remainder of the school year. Though this is a sad time for all of us here at the nest, we assure you that over the coming days we will be working on plans to make the best of what is a bad situation. All bids are to be provided to the Superintendent’s Office no later than Friday, April 10, 2020 at 2:00 pm. Bid opening will take place at 2:30pm on April 10th. COVID-19 Update: The district will remain closed through May 1st. We will be sharing more details with you tomorrow pertaining to e-learning and other student activities. In the mean time please know that all of us at "The Nest" are here for you. #TheCardinalWay

Reminder: The school building will be open for students and parents needing to pick up essential items this afternoon April, 1st from 2:00pm - 6:00pm and tomorrow April, 2nd from 10am-noon Student work has been placed on tables in the lobby. The only room we are allowing people to enter is the band room for the purpose of picking up instruments. Please enter thorough the stage side. The curtain will be open for your convenience. The teachers will not be in the building to answer questions. We ask for everyone to practice social distancing and respect the safety of others by not spend unneeded time in the building.

For people who need to get in the school to collect work, instruments, etc., the building will be open on Wednesday, April 1 from 2-6pm and Thursday, April 2 from 10am-noon.

Update: Preschool & Kindergarten Roundup - Has Been Moved to MAY 14th Who: Any student that plans on attending Preschool and Kindergarten for the 2020-2021 school year. Students must be 3-5 years old and potty-trained to meet the guidelines for Preschool. Students must be 5 years old by August 1st, 2020, to meet the guidelines for Kindergarten. What: Children will be given assessments to determine school readiness, as well as vision, hearing, height, and weight. When: May 14th, 2020, from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Where: School library What to bring: All incoming students need to bring immunization records, proof of residency, and state-issued birth certificate. If you have already scheduled an appointment, we will keep the same time that was planned and simply change the date.
