Spread the Word! Yearbook staff can't be everywhere and we know we have some awesome photographers in our community! If you catch a great pic we'd love it if you share it with us! It's now easier than ever. Students and parents can download the FREE Yearbook Snap APP from the App Store or Google Play. You will enter our school, enter our code (Yearbook24) and follow the directions to upload photos. The web-based version can be found at yearbookforever.com, the same website where everyone can purchase yearbooks and ads. Thanks for your help!

We are having a raffle to help our high school students go to Greece! You can bring your Money up until Monday. You can leave your money with your teacher or you can bring your money to Mr. Sawyer's room. Good luck!

The Homecoming Dance is Friday, September 22, 2023. Students in grades 7-12 who plan to bring a guest that is not a current student at Stewartsville High School, should pick up and fill out the Visitor Permission Form in the school office. All forms must be completed and turned into the office by Wednesday, September 20, 2023.
The Dekalb County Sherriff's office is presenting a Docudrama of a Full Scale Accident Scenario for all high school students in Dekalb County at the Maysville R-1 School District on Friday, September 29th @ 9:00 am. The Docudrama is to make young drivers aware of the possible consequences of distracted driving and to encourage safe driving practices. We will bus our 9-12 grade students to and from the Docudrama. If you want your student to opt out of the accident scenario, please notify the office by Wednesday, September 27th.
Pink Out 2023 will be October 6, 2023. Come wear your pink and support the fight against breast cancer and watch the Wildcards football team in their battle against Platte Valley. This year, our Pink Out sales are in honor of Michele Hoover. Proceeds from T-shirt sales will go to the charity of her choice. Deadline to order is September 20 at NOON! Please make your check payable to Stewartsville School. Your order will not be placed unless your money is turned into the office by the deadline. Paper forms will also be available in both school offices for ordering.

Sophomores in Mr. Sawyer's class worked on creating skits for chapters of the book they are reading in class.
Student Council is hosting a 7-12 parent Homecoming meeting in the gym at 6:00 on Friday night between the softball supper and the football game. This will be a great opportunity for each class to meet with parents and fill them in on what the class float idea is and make plans for Homecoming Day lunch. This will give parents 2 weeks to plan for float building. Planning ahead will make for a more successful float and enjoyable Homecoming Day. Each class needs to have class reps or officers present to talk to parents.
The OSHS WildCards Softball team is hosting a Pulled Pork Dinner of Friday, September 8.
You can purchase pre order tickets for $8 or pay $10 at the door. See a softball player or coach for more information.

Mr. Sawyer's 7th grade students worked on an escape room related to Julius Caesar.
In The Nest of Science, 7th and 10th Physical Science students are learning and applying their knowledge of force, motion, and energy constructing mousetrap catapults they will test out later this week.
Mrs. Bishop's third grade class competed in a STEM challenge making paper chains. The winners made a chain 141 inches long! Keep up the great work!
